the PADI Adventure Diver is your first step beyond Open Water diver certification and is a vehicle to a wide range of activities and inter- related skills that create adventure, fun and recreation.
You will earn the title PADI Advanced Open Water Diver after completing 5 PADI Adventure Dives (Deep and Underwater Navigator mandatory). As an Advanced diver, you can dive up to 30m with a buddy and experience what few other people on this planet ever will!
Open Water Diver (or proof of equivalent rating from another recreational diver training organization with at least 4 Open Water dives).
15 years old. (12 years old to obtain jr. Advanced Diver )
How are the courses structured?
You will need to obtain your PADI materials first, either online (you can buy that here!) or physical materials from our dive centre.
Once you’ve obtained 5 PADI Adventure Dives, of which Deep & Navigation are compulsory and a following 3 which your instructor will advise you on such as Altitude for local inland dive sites, Underwater Naturalist for coral dive sites and Wreck for wreckages (location dependant), you can now qualify as an Advanced Open Water diver!
To become a Specialist Diver you need to complete two to three of the same Adventure dives (depending on which Specialty you choose.)
Depends entirely on the student. Once the course has started, it must be completed within a year. It can be done in as little as two days by doing up to three dives a day!
Your maximum dive depth will be no more than 30m. For 12 – 14 year olds, the maximum depth is 21m.
When doing the qualifying dives you will have to have your own wetsuit, mask, fins, snorkel, boots and weight belt. We will supply you with Cylinder, BCD and Regulator.
PLEASE Note! Qualifying dives are extra and priced differently depending on where you will be doing your qualifying dives. Qualifying dives can be done at local fresh water dive sites or on any of our coastal excursions.
At our one-stop venue with a covered, heated pool, dive shop and lecture facilities you are guaranteed the highest standards and the best training through our professional PADI Instructors.
Rescue Diver of course!
The Padi Rescue Diver Course teaches you techniques to avoid and manage problems and improve your confidence as a diver. During the course you will become a better buddy by enhancing your ability to identify potential problems and by practicing dive emergency protocol. The subject is serious but the training is fun, many divers tell us that the Padi Rescue Diver Course was their favourite!
