Nudibranch Research specialty Diver
The purpose of the Nudibranch research Specialty Diver Course is to provide divers with a focused understanding of nudibranchs and their ecological importance; for the average diver to gain knowledge and skills to contribute to scientific efforts and conservation initiatives.
Fun Facts About Nudi's
Nudibranchs are colourful sea slugs. Nudibranch means “naked lungs” (Latin “nudus” meaning naked and Greek “brankhia” meaning lungs. Nudibranchs are distinguished by their lack of a protective shell, which sets them apart from the other gastropods. They have a soft, fleshy body adorned with stunning, often intricate, patterns and appendages. They are known for their vibrant colours, diverse shapes, and intricate patterns, making them a popular subject of interest for divers, photographers, and marine enthusiasts.
